Chat and project context

Workstream Chat lets you discuss a project with its Notes nearby. You can ask what changed, work through a plan, or return to an earlier discussion.

Open Chat in the Workstream to ask across its attached Notes and focus. For a narrower conversation, open a Thread and start Chat there. Thread Chat focuses recorded evidence on that Thread while keeping relevant project context.

Try a concrete question such as “What still needs approval before launch?” Follow up in the same conversation when the next question builds on the reply.

Use New chat for a separate conversation and History to reopen a saved one. Starting a new chat does not erase shared Project instructions or retained project details.

Note citations open the recorded passages used in an answer. Earlier chat references point to project conversations that supplied context. They are different kinds of support.

For example, a deadline you supplied in Chat can guide later planning, but it does not become evidence that someone stated that deadline in a recorded meeting.

Chat can also answer general questions. An explanation from general knowledge should not be treated as a fact about your project.

Open Manage Workstream to edit Project instructions. Use them for guidance that should apply across Workstream and Thread chats.

An instruction might be “When we discuss next steps, group them by owner.” Keep instructions specific to how you want help. Add recorded project evidence through Notes and Sources.

Open Project memory to review details retained from your conversations. These can include decisions, corrections, preferences, goals, and constraints you supplied.

Edit an item when it needs correction, or forget it when you no longer want it used. Retained chat details stay separate from recorded Note evidence.

Say what was missed or wrong in the same conversation. Ask Chat to check the relevant Notes or name the part you want clarified. Open its citations before relying on a claim about a person, commitment, or deadline.

If the material does not establish something, a useful reply may answer the supported part and identify what remains unknown. You can add a missing source or update the Workstream’s Note selection when more evidence becomes available.
